MATH - CAPACITY QUESTIONS

Questions:

1. Diana has 2 gallons of orange juice and, she wants to know: How many quarts of orange juice does 2 gallons contain?

2. Pablo has 10 cups of milk and 1 quart of milk, he wants to know: How many quarts of milk complete 10 cups of milk?, and How many cups do a quart complete?.

3. Katherine has 8 pints of apple juice and, she wants to know How many cups do the apple juice can fill with 8 pints ?.

4. Elena has 10 quarts of mango juice and she wants to know How many cups and pints do 10 quarts of mango juice can fill ?

5. Santiago has completed a pint of coke and he wants to know How many tablespoons a pint can complete?

Answers:

1. 2 gallons of orange juice can contain 8 quarts of orange juice.

2. 4 quarts of milk complete 10 cups of milk because :

2 pints = 1 quart = 4 cups
4 pints = 2 quart = 6 cups
6 pints = 3 quart = 8 cups
8 pints = 4 quart = 10 CUPS

4 cups complete a quart because 2 cups = 1 pint / 4 cups = 2 pints / 2 PINTS = 1 QUART

3. The apple juice can fill 10 cups with 8 pints because: 8 pints = 4 quart = 10 CUPS

4. a) 10 quarts fills 40 cups
b) 10 quarts fills 20 pints

5. A pint completes 32 tablespoons.
